Bio

Wyoming composer and performer Dave Munsick has played his music across the west for 40 years. He has worked as a sideman or opened for acts including Charlie Daniels, Chris Ledoux, Ian Tyson, and Lyle Lovett, both as a solo artist and as a member of the bands that he has led.  His shows immerse audiences into the songs that he has written and the associated stories that speak to these songs. 

As a solo act, Dave plays house concerts, listening rooms, guest ranches, and private parties in intimate settings. He enjoys the musical freedom that he experiences as a solo act, performing from a widely diverse palate of genres that color his folk and western style with hints of rock, jazz, and roots; a type of music that can best be described as Western Americana.

He was recently selected to represent his home state with songs from Forever West, an album he wrote for his home state.  His bookings are subsidized in part by the Wyoming Arts Council through the IM Tour, an endowment that helps presenters to defray costs incurred when presenting artists from outlying areas.
